Michele Mills...I've Got the Victory!

She is the Founder/CEO of Love Inspite of Women’s Bible Fellowship, where Jesus Christ is Lord. She has a vision to build strong biblical relationships through increasing fellowship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his Word, to make every effort towards accountability through our friendships and discipleship programs. Ultimately, it is her desire for God’s women to be totally renewed and transformed into his marvelous light. She’s a House Manager and Intake Coordinator for a transitional home for women, “Oakland House of Ruth,” in Oakland, California. Michele is a member of The Well Christian Community Church in Dublin, California, under the leadership of Pastor Napoleon and Nicole Kaufman. She is minister of the Lord, and has a heart for all of God’s people and hopes to bring healing and deliverance through her preaching and writing style. She has recently completed “It’s Too Much Hell in the Church” which is soon to be released. A life time student of the Word of God, she is continuously furthering her education. Residing in Northern California, She has two children, and one granddaughter. Her scripture for this season is, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
(2 Chronicles 7:14; NIV).

Jacqueline Lewis-Kemp...Success Despite the Odds

Jacquie Lewis-Kemp is a wife, mother and former CEO of Lewis Metal Stamping & Manufacturing Co., Inc. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major and a master’s degree from the Ford School of Public Policy all in five years. Jacquie has had Type 1 diabetes for 40 years which is now treated with a pancreas transplant.

As a result of her long term complications of diabetes, her kidneys failed and she received a heroic kidney transplant from her brother. The doctors’ complete plan of action was to return her to the transplant list this time for a pancreas in order to normalize her blood sugar and best preserve her new kidney.

A new kidney, a new pancreas—there was nothing more to ask God for, right? Kidney failure, transplants and concern about the worsening economy forced Jacquie to evaluate the viability of the business and whether to continue her father’s legacy, or secure her son’s future. What she came to recognize was that her father was much more than brick and mortar, she closed the business. Or so she thought this was her decision. Four short months after the pancreas transplant, Jacquie contracted the West Nile virus. This time she was hospitalized in a comatose state for a month. Miraculously she regained full consciousness, her speech was impaired and her motor skills were weak making it necessary for her to use a walker and a wheelchair.

As Jacquie reviewed her life and the seemingly amazing medical procedures and the coincidence of how perfectly events were timed, she realized that it was not work that she could have ever done herself. Only God could have had this plan for her life and presented a path to ensure her success.

Through her book, Blessed Assurance: Success Despite the Odds. Jacquie educates others how to incorporate the tedious regimen of chronic illness into a busy life rather than limit life because of chronic illness. The book is about faith, the balance of work, health and family as well as transplant and organ donation. It is from this perspective that she contributes to Victorious Living for Women.
